Max Legal Tint
I'm wondering if anyone knows the max legal tint for vancouver...
I've been told side tint is illegal but what if you get 75% or something are they going to bother you with that? I ordered 50% for the sides and 35% all around... hope its ok?!

I don't think it is legal to tint the front.. sides in Ontario is 35% legal for the front windows and the rear and back window can be as dark as you want it.. I hvae 30% all around =)...

Front isnt legal in BC, you cant tint the rear ones as much as you like though, if you do insist on tinting the front ones though you can probably get away with a very very light tint, 50% will get you pulled over.

I'm not a fan of the rear side windows only being tinted, this is why I didn't do it at all. The windows flow together, and they don't look great in my view. The actual law is as follows:
BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations section 7.05(8) states that: No person shall drive or operate on a highway a motor vehicle which has affixed to or placed on the windshield or a window any material that reduces the light transmitted through the windshield or window unless the material is affixed to or placed on (a) the windshield but not more than 75 mm below the top of the windshield (b) a side window that is behind the driver, or (c) the rear window if the motor vehicle is equipped with outside rear view mirrors on the left and right side of the motor vehicle.

I'm getting a headache reading this. What do you guys mean by front? Front windshield? Front windows?
As far as I know, in Ontario, the legal limit is: Front windshield: no tinting allowed Front windows: 35% max Rear windows: no limit (just like 5% on minivans) Rear windshield: no limit (just like 5% on minivans) |

So here is a table that has all the provinces in it ...
http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/consumer_in...vincelaws.html or http://www.windowfilm.ca/auto/autofaq.html#Laws It looks like you Ontario people have a vague law that works in your favour.
