I say if you can keep the wheels clean from brake dust.. definitely leave the performance rims alone.... I am thinking of black rims because of the brake dust haha

I've had the Breytons on for several weeks now and the brake dust is not noticable -- lovin' it.

I love the looks of the stock 264 wheels, but IMO they're out of the question unless you replace the stock brake pads.

edit: oops, did not notice how old the thread is.

Did you get the white rim painted on after they were powder coated ? They look awesome and thank you for sharing.

Just be aware that brake dust eats into powdercoating, and eventually won't come out, so you need to clean them at least every couple of weeks. I had yellow p.c., and it was a bitch to keep clean. Shouldn't be as noticeable on the darker colors, but I know how anal some of you are.

This also depends on the type and quality of powder. I've had my Morton Black Chrome finish with a clear coat for eight or nine years on my M Coupe's wheels, and they've been tracked, infrequently cleaned and still look fresh. One nice thing about powder is that you can clean it with strong abrasives, including chrome polish.
