F30 Brake Upgrade Rotor Choices

Hey everyone, I have some gray brembo calipers sitting in a box waiting to be installed on my 128i.

I am seeing a lot of options for rotors, main differentiator being 1 piece vs 2 piece (2x the price).

I wanted to know if the 1 piece will be sufficient for occasional track use. I imagine so since the 128i is significantly lighter than an f30 bmw but wanted to see what people recommend in terms of rotor selection.

I am thinking to grab the following from here:

- Rotors - PART #: 150 2903 20 - https://germanparts.ca/parts/bmw/201...ke-disc-rotor/
- Pads - PART #: 25028.180.1 - https://germanparts.ca/parts/bmw/201...nt/brake-pads/
- 4 litres of RBF600 fluid

I recently did the brakes on my F30 with M Performance rotors. I ended up going with 2 piece Brembos and Brembo pads. I did the blank rotors. They were significantly lighter than the one piece rotors my parts supplier brought in for me by mistake. I got them at Partsource. They had the best price I could find in Canada and also had them in stock.

Brembo part #s. My car has the blue painted calipers. 370mm front and 345mm rear rotors as I recall.

Thanks! I'll take a look at partsource. Is weight the main advantage? I'm guessing you are on a 135i. The calipers i got are for the 340mm front rotor, rears will remain stock.

I drive a 2015 335ix for winter. The main advantage of the 2 piece rotor is weight saving and better heat disipation.
