I can't say it doesn't but I do know that 09+ cars not being pre-wired is a recent discovery on here, you may want to ask him about it if you are interested

I sent him a message asking about mobridge and 09 compatibility, haven't heard anything back (I also sent an email to mobridge same results)

Prewiring does not need to be present for the mObridge unit since it comes with a wiring harness. You will just need to pick up a MOST connection within the fiber optic loop - which can be behind the radio, or in the trunk.

Choice is up to you - we prefer behind the radio so its easier to route the microphone wire.

Plus the mObridge module is upgradeable via SD flash - unlike BMW.

doesnt it need to be flashed or something by a mobridge dealer? just wondering because you're definitely nowhere near EAS, interested to see the install process

Nah, bluetooth has to be enabled by your BMW dealer ... that's how I understand it anyways.

Yes, your BMW dealer will need to activate Bluetooth after the kit is installed.

For those local to our facility, we can code the vehicles ourselves.

Tom, my bmw already has a mic hooked up for iDrive voice commands. Is this usable with the m0bridge setup? (I got iDrive/ipod/etc but no bluetooth silly I know but I was working under the assumption that I could retrofit the bluetooth and not pay for bmw assist)
