Blue or Gray Ext, Red Int: any pictures?
Hey guys, this is my first post here, and I'm just wondering if you guys can help me out. I'm about to order a 2011 135i, and am trying to make up my mind on the color scheme.
One thing I know for sure is that I want a Coral red interior. Exterior-wise, however, I am a bit undecided. I love the Le Mans Blue the most, but I'm afraid it might be too bold with the Coral Red. The other option is Space Gray / Coral Red, and while I know they look good together, I've had so many gray cars.... So, what do you guys think? Does ANYONE out there have a Le Mans Blue or Deep Sea Blue with Coral red? I would really love to see some pictures. I have tried to search, but only could find 1 135 with the combo, and it wasn't a very good picture. I've also seen a couple montego's with red interiors, but its not quite the same... So is it too bold? Thanks for the help, looking forward to officially joining you guys in a couple months EDIT: Just to clarify, I've seen plenty of space gray/red, so I don't need pictures of that. Just the Le Mans / Red... |

Don't have pictures unfortunately, but IMO Coral with a dark blue just won't look right. It's better than against the lighter blue of Montego, but if you are going with blue I would go for Terra for two-tone(lemon is also good but more upkeep) or black for solid color. Space gray or TiAg both look excellent with Coral red as you know. (Not quite as good as Sparkling Graphite, but I'm biased )

I got into an Alpine White/Coral Red combo 1er because I didn't want to custom order my car and pay full price but I also got really sick of waiting for a Space Gray with Coral Red and MT, SP, options on it... IMO Silver/Gray metallic paint with a red leather interior is the sportiest, sexiest color combination you can put in a sports car.
Dark Blue with Coral Red makes the car look like it belongs to a diehard Cubs fan. I've seen one in person but did not think to take pictures -- my first was, "Wow, it's like 3D glasses." Very sharp contrast, but not necessarily in a good way. |

I have Montego over Beige, and I love it. If you definitely want Coral, then I would go with TiAg or SG. Not Montego or LeMans.

I came very close to ordering Deep Sea Blue with Red, which I think would have been a nice combination. In the end, though, I went with Terra Cotta leather, which I think will be a bit less jarring, but avoid the blandness of the other colors (really, does the world *need* another all black leather interior BMW?)

I second that agreement!!!...though no longer available, that's just too bad.
Space Grey/Coral looks good also, just the Coral complements the red tones (or dirty purple as some claim) in the Graphite very well. |

Hi dMb,
I went with silver with red coral. And yes I had 2nd thoughts too. But it looks even BETER in person than in photos. I am sooo glad I got my silver/red leather car!!! I thought I'd share my interior shots with the gang here. Btw... you can use Google's image search to look for color combos you are thinking about. I agree any dark blue and red coral looks a little funny. But IF thats what you want go for it. After all... its YOU that will be driving it and have to be a happy camper! bye |

I have to agree with the above, TiAg and Coral is a great combo but blue and red is a bit much.

Thanks for the help guys. The "superman" nickname is quite amusing...
I feel like the Blue/Red combination is so hard to imagine what it would look like, even if I have a couple pictures. Ha, such a tough decision... The Montego is almost too bright for me as an exterior, so I think I'd stick to Le Mans or Space Gray. From those of you who have a Coral or Lemon interior, have you found it hard to keep up? |

DOH...
that's EXACTLY what I ordered.... i had to have the Coral Red... + i had to have the Le Man Blue... Would it be possible for me to walk away from what I ordered and get something else instead? (I put down $3000 in deposit) OR i should just take on the responsibility of looking out for the world and live with it? |

You can always change your order. Just get in touch with your sales guy ASAP! As long as the car has not entered into production you can change options AND colors(int and ext).
I originally chose a differnt color scheme for my car. A week later I changed my mind. Go with your gut instint on colors. SOmetimes having a woman's advice is helpfull too. |
