I own a 2010 135i e82 n55 model with dct
I was driving yesterday and I was driving kinda hard. Suddenly when I launched the car the transmission light came on for a few minutes. I stopped the car, switched it off and back on and everything was fine again the transmission light went off and the car felt like normal nothing was wrong. Should I be worried or might it have just been a sensor mistake. What could've caused the light to come on and is my car safe to drive

This is the light it threw up !

Might’ve just been a temperature warning, a limp mode for the transmission to cool down.

Read the codes and tell us what the code is.

The code doesn't appear anymore on the dash so I have no idea what it could be, there's no lights on the dash anymore it appears as if the car is fine but it's just stressing me out that the gearbox light came on and went off.

Code won't show on dash. Need to have someone with a scan tool connect to your OBD2. Should be a four digit alphanumeric code that can be accessed via OBD2.
