Honestly, I was really skeptical about the wrap, but it looks great.

In E82 coupe form it should look even better (contemplating.... ).

Curious question: When you make a modification like that, do you have to notify the DMV of the color change?

I've never lived in a state that requires notification of color change. I have lived in 8 states. That said, in California, I would not be surprised.

Anything non permanent (and under 80% total sruface or something like that) does not have to be reported. I've had a couple wrapped cars with no issues from cops or insurance

Got my oil analysis done on yee olde transmission. Good to know that me learning on this trans, grinding a few gears, a dragstrip day and generally just beating it up didn't do much harm!

does anyone know if the n5 tuner rear panels allow you to cut the wheel well to make more room for wider wheels?.

And to ppl who used the 1m quarters and used only a small portion of the panel instead of the whole quarter how they got the side skirts to work. I am assuming u need the whole thing on to make it work but i dunno..
So, a couple things. The N5 tuner flares definitely allow and pretty much require you to cut your quarters, unless you just run stock height suspension with strange wheel/tire setup.

On the 1M quarter side, I don't think I've seen people only use partial quarters? There are other flares out there that would achieve the 'look' but I'm not sure on using only part of the 1M quarter

Prior Design makes "rear widenings" that match up with 1M rear and side skirts

That reminds me of the 135i "1m" test car.

Reverse-rebuilt my large DISA valve. The kit just wasn't working for me, and it turns out my stocker is still just fine ...

Beat the everlovingshit out of it.

It loved every minute of it. Even begged for more.

Did not accomplish my goal of fuzzy black wheels. Didn't even beat my blackness from last year. Just didn't get as much track time due to more people and rain. And I really didn't push the car too hard at all.

I have a misfire issue I need to figure out, sometime ... it's only been going on for ummmm, awhile. But it's becoming very predictable, just can't figure out why or if it's mechanical or electrical. But it'll happen at about 3500 and 5500, my exact sweet spot for entering and exiting power. Within that range, feels strong.

I was leaving the gym and some guy was walking up to his 428i as I was driving by. He stopped dead in his tracks and yelled out "BRO, sick one series!"

Finally got around to flashing the MHD S1+ to go with the new IC, along with re-flashing the XHP s2 trans map.

mmmmmmmm, yeah, #feelsgoodman

Really need to stop by the one station with e85, and play with the good stuff. Purchased the map pack months ago, may as well got back on the awesome sauce...

Hmm...I just used a barb and new silicone hose to connect to the oem hose. No issues with the turbosmart bov. It sounds like TiAl you definitely need the 1/4” tap.

yes, thank you, thank you....
indeed, I'm not impressed either, but here we are

Upgraded the firmware on the R1 last night. This thing is every bit the freaking beast it's made out to be! Sooooooo happy with it. Picked up a trooper running constant on the other day, touched him at over 2 miles.... yup, that'll work for me!

I used the 1/4" barb. Drilled the mani without taking it off because if my car can't chew up and spit out a tiny piece of plastic then I've got bigger issues. I then JB Welded the barb in place.
No problems.
I'm running a Chinese Tial knock off and it works perfectly with the 11# spring.

Over on a knife forum I frequent, when people hit 1000 they give away cool stuff.

'Course, knives, sheaths and fire-steels tend to cost less than cars and mods...
(Busse knives notwithstanding. Nvrmnd.)
