Very nice video. Im sad to say ive never actually seen someone change oil on a car before. seeing its easier then i thought i might change the oil myself every 3 or 5k miles and just take it to bmw for the routine 15k.
Thanks for the video! |

Yes.
The price on Centernet is $17.75, but that's probably dealer cost. I forget what I paid for mine, but I can guarantee it's a lot cheaper than a new filter cap. You'll need a 27mm socket, too. |

You'll need either a jack with a couple jack stands (safety), or a couple ramps. Next you'll need some rags and some gloves for your hands. And you'll need a funnel for your oil when pouring into the engine.

I have just bought a proper neoprene jack pad from Seally Tools in the UK. Hopefully this will do the job. BTW, I also had hardly any clearence between the jack and the jack cup on the car when I first attempted a lift!. Cheers, Mad Chemist. |

Two Questions:
Did you use all 7 qts of oil when filling up the engine? And are those gardening gloves?

Its the same motor as the 335i, so I would assume its the same part #. I would call a BMW service dept. and check the price for filters for a 335i and a 135i and ask if they show the same part number.
