"I'm holding the window sticker for your car, which means..."
The following is a rough transcript of a call I had about an hour ago.
Me: Hello? My CA: Hi, Jumpman! I just wanted to let you know that I'm holding the window sticker for your car, which means, it's arrived! It's here at the dealership! Me: That's impossible. CA: Err, wait a sec... Me: My car is on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. CA: Let me check something... yeah you're right... Me: It's called "The Patriot", I think. CA: (clearly embarrassed) That's right... I'm so sorry about that... Someone must have mistakenly put your name on this car. It's not even the right model - it's a 335 convertible. Hrmm... Me: You'd better find out who that thing belongs too! CA: Yeah, I will... good bye! *** End of Call *** |

Too bad it wasn't an M3, you could have rushed right down and drove off.

HA HA...That's too funny (in a very sad sort of way).
It is sad when we (the customer) knows more about the car (technically) and it's current disposition than the CA. But I guess that's why we are ADDICTS. (And the CA is just a job)

Lets just say, some CA's are good and some are not that efficient. Records will speak for themselves and for what I have been reading, DbTheo is one of the better ones. Maybe Dave can put up a "CA" academy one day. My 2 cents is that we (customers) were able to take advantage on the quickness of information technology, dealerships have to adapt fast on how information spreads so fast. A case in point (sorry for deviating a bit), the deals that we were getting, if someone posted it,then it is all over specially if its verifiable. The challenges in pricing will become micro-regional in supply and demand. Now I have to stop. Sorry.
