Bingo, I'm always looking for excuses to extend the drive from the office...lol

I have daily'd mine for 3 years. Honestly, its spoiled me to the point where I am worried anything equivalent will have to cost 2x as much if I replaced it.

Garage List
2011 BMW 1M  [0.00]
I've only had mine since March, but have enjoyed driving it every day. That being said I would never want to sell it. I would much rather keep it maintained, and take good care of it and if it needs engine rebuilt years down the road after 175k miles/km so be it.

I highly doubt the people who bought their used E30 M3s cheap fifteen years ago, and have driven and enjoyed regularly since then, regret putting the miles on it because it would be more valuable today. Who would trade fifteen years of pleasure for a payday?

Anyone who is just buying this car to sit in the garage for collectibility is missing the point of owning such an amazing "driver's" car.

Agree, bought it new, have 82,000 miles on FBO, all installed very early in the cars life as well as a pretty aggressive suspension and I choose to drive it almost everyday with plenty of other options in the garage and it's great every mile.

It's quite practical though I did consider buying a separate DD to keep the miles off but ended up buying totally impractical weekend car so I could enjoy driving the 1M everyday.

Most recently I considered getting a quadrofoglio thinking it'd be more practical andput the 1M on weekend duty but the Alfas rear seats don't go down leaving the 1M as my most practical car, it's both my most practical(fits tons of fishing gear or a fair amount on a Home Depot run even with a big arc rear brace in the trunk) and what I take to the track; drive the heck out of it!

Had my 1M as a DD for 6 years on and off now, so i decided to get me another vehicle and give my 1M a much needed rest....
That being said, it's not easy finding another car with the fun of a 1M, tho i go with what i know so i went back to my roots and got me the JDM Type r...
I had a civic before my 1M but always wanted the hardcore Japanese version...
Decided to import from Japan to the UK and now own my FD2 Type r, 9k rpm, super stiff suspension, a true racing car out the box, i love it and some..
My 1M is still my weekend beast but it's nice to be able to give a little rest time...
