Akrapovic, Graphit Gasket

So, waiting for the new bolts and brackets, i decided to get some temporary bolts replacement for the akra..

so basically the mids to the rear there is one giant graphite ring gasket...
so in the picture should it be like that? not 100% fully locked down? or it should have no gaps? the temporary gasket should be fine?

also in the first picture between the turbo to the downpipe, is for the akrapovic system the gasket necessary, i had the clamp on and did not have the gasket.. will it be leaked? (pic 2 no. 3)

i'm planning to run the car is it okay?

You need gaskets between the turbo/downpipe. The BMW parts are fine.

With regards to gap between the midpipe and rear section, yes there is one. Respect Akra's torque specifications....you don't want to overtighten and crush the donut.

thanks, well i had to wait for the parts to come, and might take a little while, but before that without the gasket from turbo to downpipe is it safe to use the car? city driving? also there are no brackets to hold two of the downpipes..
this is getting frustrating and worrying.

I thought the Akra downpipes retained the OE mounting brackets?

I would not drive the car much without gaskets that have properly been seated between the DPs and turbos. Gas will start to leak in a hurry.

Oh OK, I thought we were talking about daily driving on the order of hundreds of miles. Realistically, you won't do any damage to your car driving a handful of miles without a good exhaust seal at the downpipes. You could get some funky AFR adaptations since gasses are not making it to the lambda probe, and I would not go WOT, but I doubt anything will go wrong. I'd really try to leave the car stationary as much as is possible though.

Yes, between the DP and mids you need a gaskets(#6) in your RealOEM.com pic.

You should also run the bmw ring gasket(#2) for the rear section of the exhaust.
