Help please
so I have been noticing that I get white smoke from my exhaust every now and then it started to do it recently
It has done it maybe 4 times total It only does it like maybe once a day or sometimes nothing all day When is full warmed up The first time I noticed it did it was in my drive way when I normally gave it a rev to hear my exhaust and I notice that smoke came out and the rev was only maybe to 5500k or 5k second time I saw smoke come out again was I did a launch control but didn't launch the car and I noticed it didn't again And today when I put the car on reverse and slightly hit the throttle to go backwards I noticed that I saw smoke again is this a turbo seal? or should it be normal because I am catless downpipe On my f30 n55 is catless aswell and it has never done that before at all so.?? : what do you guys think it is? Help please I would really appreciate it

IF you have downpipes... may cars will do this. Just goes with having dp's.

White smoke is either going to be just condensation in the exhaust, or coolant being burnt. If you have the chance, take a sniff...does it smell sweet? I've got a cat-less DP on my E82, and I wouldn't say that white smoke is present regularly (outside of regular warm up or colder ambient temps).

this smoke does smell I'm not really to sure if smells like burnt gas or burn oil i really wouldn't know the difference i took it to my mechanic at the dealer and he was going to take a look at it and see if everything was ok and also he was going to look at my turbo seals because that can maybe be the problem and he said that if he saw like they where going bad he was going to try and warranty them but i was just afraid it was maybe a head gasket or something or something alot more major .... if a head gasket was blown they would be constant smoke?? or??? |

The cats are there to clean the exhaust up. I wouldn't delete them. I think a free-er flowing cat like a 200cell cat is a better option. Just IMHO. Dack
