early adopters of new technology are usually jealous of new tech that comes out and will dump the old tech for the new stuff. they also have a tendency to trash the "old" tech to make the new tech seem that much cooler even though there is nothing wrong with the old tech.

Personally I would have been more pissed if the engine output had been bumped up. I don't care about the iDrive, heated steering wheels new colors or different trim. Big whoop-dee-doo.

What a crazy reason to trade your car. The money you lose on the trade will likely be enough to replace the dash in your 135 with the new with the idrive system.

I do not understand your thinking. But then I didn't order Nav on my car and I would never buy a Nissan. Best of luck to ya.

Let me know what it's like driving around and seeing your same car 10,000 times a day, and then let me know how much money you spent getting 5hp out of a NA engine.

I think the 370z will be a big improvement from the 350z. The 350z is a great car, it drives very well and its very comfortable. My mate has one and the only issues he has with it are the limited traction control, tyres spinning and sometimes he wishes he had a bit more power. After doing some research I also found out the 350z has the 3rd highest driver fatality rate!

I personally think the current Zed is a great car and hopefully Nissan will refine the car and fix these issues with their upcoming model. I also think the car would have alot more appeal if it came with a factory turbo but I think it's getting the same engine as the G37s. Regardless, the new Zed will no doubt be alot more purposeful and probably better value than ever if your on the market for a 2 seater sports roadster.

Oh and back to the overall point. I can't see the advantage of upgrading to a 370z unless you are tired of the 135i and need a new car. Cars are constantly being updated and from the time you order and the time you expect delivery there are already new things out on the market. It's just how it goes.

I don't get it. If you're not in emergency services or pizza delivery (possibly one and the same), why do you even need nav, let alone care about it?

Half the fun of having a driver's car is getting lost.

+1 all Navi and no understanding of geographic orientation made pit1 a dumb boy.

--- good for emergencies and rare touring occasions worthy of a $200 portable

I have the NAV in my Jeep. I never use it because its such a pita. I also have a portable Garmin Street Pilot. Everyone borrows it because its so easy to use. We take it on trips and use it in the Rental Car. Why cant the car mfg do something simple that works.

No kidding. There's always something new around the corner. What will happen once the second model year 370z's get improvements, sell that, too?

I'd be pissed if the 09's got more power and a real LSD!

370Z is going to have very poor mpg which is not going go down well in Europe.

I loved the 350Z,cancelled my order to get a 135i instead.

I love the new shape of the 370Z, and it could have been a real contender as my next car, but I doubt it will be as good as my 135i for performance and economy.

However, like the 350Z I am sure that it will be a more fun car around the twisties, and will have the obvious benefit of an LSD.

As for the S3000 , if you look at Road and Track Magazine (as I did) I got all excited , the pictures looked great I was like wow finally they are going to redo it after 8+ year run with little changes here and there....... Then I read that the picture were just renderings of what they "THOUGHT" it could look like... I was like "WTF Road and Track you put it on the cover and everything" >>> talk about a tease .. I dissapointed not to mention they are saying if its true we would be looking at 2011... Ugghh

id be ecstatic if they offered LSDs on newer models...

I wouldnt change a car for I drive gees I feel this forum is full of people who care about little details....year of the one, I drive etc. I'm sorry if its a little rough to you...I dont mean it but I just enjoy the car and not the options and so. Bmw is really getting mainstream thats why they still have an austere interior and so on. Suspensions are getting softer etc..(mainstreem). The 370z will have a cheap interior but I couldnt careless Ill to take a close look at it...heres a real drivers car no options etc.. Thats why cars are getting fatter etc their become a second home for certain 3000$ for navigation... I just go on google map and print them. To each is own.

Aren't you losing a fortune doing that? I ran some numbers and decided I'm "stuck" with this car for at least a couple years.

That would be my question as well, I generally find the "break-even" point to be about 3 years on a five year loan. So, anything this early would require a loss of thousands at least. For example, my prior car, the ZHP, had been purchased for 50K. I purchased it for 35 from the dealer ~1 year later. That means that *someone* took a $20K-ish bath on that car before I bought it. There were special circumstances with body style changes but I can't see a person getting off cheap in this kind of early-sell scenario.

The Nav in my 135 is not nearly as nice as the Nav in my 330i (I really like the split screen function that is not available on 135). Which do I prefer to drive? The 1er for sure. No contest. Don't let a Nav upgrade influence your decision.

I have a map in my car. It's folded up and sits in a pocket behind the passenger seat. When I get lost, I pull it out. When I want to change the AC or radio station, I use the appropriate knob.

If you dig on nav or i-drive, that's cool. But to get rid of your car because you feel cheated out of a software upgrade? really?

IMHO, there's no way this pure driver's car should be cluttered with an iDrive. Close that screen, let go of the knob and DRIVE.
