Gift Ideas?
Hi everyone. I'm looking for Christmas gift ideas for my brother who owns a 135i here in Alberta. I don't have a lot of cash to spend, so new rims or seats are out. More likely rim cleaner or a seat cover.
I don't know much about the 1 series, so can you enlighten me what is on the top of your wish lists for under $100? I may have to wait until New Year's to let you know what I buy as I think he checks into this forum regularly. Thanks for the help. |

I always liked the replica 135i, no one's bought me that yet :iono: But there are quite a few nice bits at the BMW Store.

Well if he is into keeping his car clean on his own. Get him a nice package of detailing products. Maybe something from Groits garage.

I have an extra "1" BMW keychain that was given to me as a gift that I would be willing to sell.

AlbertaMS3, you're a good brother. Get him the new wheel center caps if his 1 didn't already come with it. Or some wax to help with the darn brake dust!
If you ever need another brother, let me know.

+1 on the pedals. Every time I get in my car, I notice them and they really set off the interior. I have actually had many people comment on them when they look in my car. I have the aluminum trim and it looks even better with the pedals but gives the car a nice sporty look without breaking the bank. We have a great vendor on the website, Dan from United BMW, who is excellent to do business with. Great prices and service. Attached is a link that should take you to his website where the pedals are located. Just make sure you order the appropriate set (manual vs. automatic) if you get them. Good luck!

Thanks for the great ideas everyone! I was thinking about the die-cast model, but $80 for it is a little hard to swallow. I keep looking at Costco for the 135, but all I ever see is M3's and M5's.
The aluminum pedals are a good idea. I can't recall if he has those; did any 135's come with them as an dealer option? ptack, what does the keychain look like? I think he has one that has a spinning BMW logo in it. Thanks for the link TMc. I also like the rear mat and the mobility kit. He has run into the problem of no spare with the new winter tires he put on. He is carrying one of the RFT's in his trunk for emergencies. Has anyone tried the sunshade? Is it a good fit? Thanks again - keep the good suggestions coming. |

AlbertaMS3 - the aluminum pedals do not come standard and are not a dealer options (at least in the US and don't think so in Canada either).
