i have the utmost respect for evo's and what they can do, the luxury aspect really means nothing to me.

i know they're not even on the same playing field in terms of build quality but the way i look at it i can either have a 135i or an EVO 9 MR and 12k in my pocket.
In the end I decided not to sell, i love my 135 haha. Its probably not the right choice though. Really all i wanted was a go fast car, and since nobody was willing to let me test drive an EVO, and BMW pretty much just threw the keys at me, i went with the 135i. I dont regret my purchase though. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.
Theres no debating that evo's have amazing performance potential though.

But ANYWAY. . haha

I got the kit and was regaled by the great mind of the Nobel prize winner Al Gore. What a crock. Propaganda is right! I would rather BMW cut $50 off the price of the car than send that junk to our mailbox.

How long after purchase did you get this stuff? I'm more interested in the '08 leather book.

I got both

You need to wait for months, very long, I dont even remember for how long.
I got white covered Year One Of The 1 book first, but they difinately mailed me the wrong one. I ordered 128i Coupe, but I got a 135i book. Should I call BMWUSA?

I then got this white box with CDs and a DVD. I liked the DVD a lot, watched all stories. It has designer's words on each BMW model. It has safety test/car crash test detail - amazing. it has how BMW got a musician to tune the BMW sound - by using BMW body as speaker or so to say for piano play. It has Virtual Reality lab showing how you can use this awesome tool to check/fine tune the design before production. It has, of course, car race (dont do it at home), how BMW test driver are trained and how they provide vital comments to the design. and ... ...

Not get chance to listen to CD yet.

Welcome Package? Are you guys kidding? I got a Performance Center Delivery of my '09 135i Coupe 2 weeks ago; no clues about any welcome package from BMW staff!!! Wtf? Would it be totally pathetic to actually call/ask BMW for one? Btw, just had my 1200 mile post-breakin oil change done and trying to wipe the stupid grip off my face at least when I shave...Cheers.

This BMW experience is all about patience!

Wait for the car (about 3-5 months).

Wait for your BMW Welcome Kit (about 2-3 months).

Wait for your 1 Commemorative Book (3 months-the end of time).
