Does anyone know about any specials that are coming up for the E90? I saw that there is a special on leasing, but I whant to purchase the car. Does anyone know what the lowest interest rate on this car is or if some specials are coming up???????

Welcome Sean. I dunno of any special deals coming up but here's a thread of what interest rates people have been able to get on their financing (non-BMW financing). Good luck!

I don't think BMW does "special financing" deals like below-market rates or subsidized rates. Things like 1.9% you could find at a Honda or Ford dealer. I don't think you should be waiting for something like this to arrive at a BMW dealer.

BMW sometimes does 2.9% on cars when the new model year is about to come out (saw it on the X3 recently) but nothing will happen on a brand new car like the E90.

I'd worry more about the X dollars above invoice than the interest rate. Typically, checking with credit unions or your local bank will get you as good a rate as the mfg. finance companies, unless it is GMAC or FMC since they're trying to give cars away. Also, check bankrate.com. They have interest rates in your area and you can contact the banks. But, if you can save $2500 of the sticker, as I'm doing, that should be your focus. One point of interest rate on a 30 yr mortgage is significant savings for a higher loan amount. A $35000 loan at 4% vs. 5% over 5 years saves you only $15 a month saves you $900 over the life of the loan. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to get the best deal, because I do on both interest rate AND dealer negotiations. I'm just saying interest rates on short term loans aren't quite as big of an issue.

Sean, honestly, they don't have to promote this car. I've driven Hondas, Acuras, Fort SUVs and now Lexus and BMW. Unless it is the end of a model year (like left over 2005 sedans the past few months, upon which huge deals could be had), there is no real promotion necessary. I got $1500 over invoice, no maco and no training fees, which I think is a heckuva deal. I've also bought Fords under invoice. It really depends on supply and demand and what is reasonable. The car just came out. I doubt BMW will run any "specials" for a few years on the car. And, most lease "deals" you see in the paper are NOT deals. You negotiate a lease just like a purchase - above invoice - and put nothing down. There are tons of good sites out there on how to truly get a lease deal, and they aren't typically the one's run as ads in the paper.

Hey Wildcat Jon,
thanks for your responce. Yeah, leasing is out of question. This kind of a car you buy and keep. It just came out, its good and pretty and it will not change for the next 6 years. I will buy it no matter what. Thanks again for your help |

Sean, no problem. I am also buying for the long haul here - 7-8 years. I'm very happy with the deal I negotiated based on what I've seen on here. My advice - go drive the 330i at your local dealer. Establish a relationship but don't talk price. Get his card with email and fax.
Then, email him about what you'd likely be interested in. Then take the one page invoice sheet that you'll find posted here - the official BMWNA "wholesale" pricing. Then circle all your options and total the price down the right side of the page. Then add like $1000 over that invoice price and fax to him. I think anything at $1500 over invoice or lower is a very good deal on this car. If they won't work with you, so what. You can always service it at your local dealer if they won't work with you and you have to go elsewhere. It also helps to have another deal with which to leverage your local dealer. Worked for me without much effort. Thx. I found that you

What if it's not on the lot?
Does this strategy work when your choice of options isn't on the lot or in his trading network so the dealer has to do a factory order for you?
