Take it to a different dealer. My dealer replaced the arm console and window control section on the drivers side door b/c of flaking paint on my 328. We have a good relationship

I have a 2010 135i. It's about to tick over 30k miles today! I picked it up with 20k on at the end of June this year. (yes I do a lot of miles!)

i know this has been discussed in other threads, but for the folks that shared their info here, do you guys recommend the extended warranty or the upgraded maintenance? i've noticed brake and rotor changes right after 50k, which is right when the normal warranty ends. and i know that's not cheap so i thought i would bring it up.

2009 135i, bought it Thanksgiving 2008. I've got 43k miles and change. Had HPFP replaced at 26k miles and all the other recalls done. Otherwise it is running great. However thanks to the Texas sun, the paint has faded but the showdow trim still looks great.

You might get the extended warranty for security.

A service rep told me that the upgraded maintenance plan is not worth it and you will likely spend less money over 2 years than the cost of upgraded maintenance plan.

35K and just had ST coilovers mounted...what a difference versus stock. the rear felt disconnected and not planted to the ground over bumps and around hard turns. The car is firm and smooth now... I recommend new coilovers for anyone driving an '08 135.

+1

The rep at the dealer told me the same thing, especially since my front brakes have just been replaced under the maintenance coverage.

He offered a ~$700 "card" that is good for regular scheduled service, and it's good for 3 years. There was another one for ~$600 good for 2 years.

I'm thinking about those maintenance "cards" but I'm leaning more towards no.

I crossed 66K 2 weeks ago before I moved to London.

Other than the manufacturing defects that were fixed im basically good.

I have a bit of a rattle by the passenger side seat belt and the car is going in for its second middle brake light in 2 weeks.

I didnt do the cleaning, but then again im friends with my tech and he decided to change all of my injecters at 55K when he did my HPFP recall at no cost under the injector recall.

I had to replace the VANOS selenoids a few months back. They got clogged and put me into a limp mode. That was easy tho, they go in and out like spark plugs.

I got it. Was $2095 for a 135i. Any warranty is a gamble. Looks like I'll need brakes right at @50k. I bought it for the piece of mind.

The next 3 years will be zero maintenance costs except for a battery, tires and gas.

This just makes 0 sense. July delivery and your selling already? Talk about a price drop!

Not really. You're out $2095.

I've read the valve cleaning is not relevant to cars with forced induction, ie. the 135i.
