DSC pump replacement?

I've had a code that just won't go away and I'm going to just try and do a part swap vs finding the problem.

What I'm curious about is all the different part numbers for the DSC pumps. Does anyone have a good breakdown of what they mean?

I have a 34516790146-01 unit and I can not find it in the parts catalog. The number it's saying I should have is 6863356 (current pn).


I'm trying to find out how old my # is and if I can update? to a different pump (something more readily available, and cheaper)

I hydroplaned the other day in heavy rain and got a DSC warning light and brake light. I fixed the error by rinsing my wheels / brakes and them pulling my parking brake while rolling down the driveway backwards at about 5MPH, made a grump clunk and then the brakes engaged. No more warning light! Everything works good now... I would try that and new ABS sensros before buying a new pump. I thought I was going to have to buy one and found some on Ebay.

But it also sounds like it might be the wheel speed sensor. If that has failed or its wiring has shorted out then you'll get those warning lights.

Take a photo of the white ATE label on your pump motor housing and post it here.

You will need to code the donor to your car and calibrate it

Measure your idle voltage and report back. Is your motor an N54?

Fixed.


What I believe happened,
I switched form the factory fluid, DOT 4, to a DOT 5.1 (Bosch ESI6). The first flush I did early last year I did not do a full flush, meaning that the ABS block was not cycled to clean old fluid out. Only used a pressure bleeder to force new fluid through.
This year I did the same but must have had too much pressure behind it as I got an air bubble in the ABS block. Just activating ABS on the road did not clear the bubble. So I had to use INPA to activate the pump and cycle the valves. I only had a German version and I was feeling my way through based on a youtube video for an english version. Seems my version of INPA the button location was not the same and I must have hit something wrong. A valve got out of adjustment and I lost DSC and ABS all Spring/Summer.
I got a new/used laptop and put a larger SDD into it so I could install ISTA/D. That program is awesome. Walks you through everything (seems tedious at first though) and it works,,, and it's in English. Did it's recommended ABS valve reset procedure and now I'm back to working order. No part replacement needed.

For words, yes works great. Problem with coding, programming and the like with these things is there are more acronyms and conjunctions than words. So it's difficult.
And I'm lazy and forgetful. ex, I've had enough versions of INPA (working and not) that I should have picked up and versions (or more correct sources) have different locations of the option/process buttons. I overlooked this fact and it bit me.
