could you post some installed pics?
trying to decide between those, or just go the cheap route: also, anyone with the bimmian pedals (ignore the cheesy m stickers)?

I suggest whoever gets the Ultimate Pedals to get the gas pedal with the upper left heel & toe extension. It makes heel & toe incredibly easy, just a mere thought away.

heel/toe shifting is a way to downshift and rev match while doing it.....the extension makes it so you dont have to reach as far with the 'toe' of your foot to do it IIRC....

^ What he said.
http://www.ultimatepedals.com/pedal.htm They have 3 styles or extensions: upper left, lower left, and complete left side. My style of h&t uses the ball of the foot on the brake, then I pivot the foot with the heel pointing to the gas pedal and with the right side of my foot I roll over the gas pedal. Thus, I bought an upper left extension because that's where my foot would toouch the gas pedal. Others blip the throttle with the heel, so for them the lower left extension might work best.

They are amazing, with incredible build quality. But it was some 3 years ago that I did my purchase for the E46, so I don't recall any of the purchase details - sorry...

Ok for those of you wanting to know about Ultimate Pedals here is an excerpt of an email I got from Rob (within a couple of hours too!) concerning our 1er's:
"Thank you for your e-mail, we appreciate your interest in our products. Could you please let us know how you found out about Ultimate Pedals? No problem to make a set of pedals for your BMW 1-Series (we already have the templates). Pricing would be identical to our BMW 3-Series pedal pricing. Please click on the following link to see our 3-Series products (select a product then scroll down for finish options with pricing): http://www.ultimatepedals.com/catalo...hp?cPath=16_18 Custom engraving/emblem pocketing cost is $10 to $35 (depending on complexity) per pedal. (see attached image files) If you would like to proceed with the order simply order the 3-Series pedals that you would like, but specify your 1-Series and any engraving/emblem pocketing during the checkout process when you are asked to indicate year, make, and model. We will then match the pedals for your 1-Series instead of the 3-Series when we manufacture your order." Sounds pretty painless to me! I think I am gonna pull the trigger. (I like stuff custom made to me...LOL) |
