Wind noise from driver side window - HELP

So my 128i has a pretty bad wind noise from the driver side B pillar at speeds above 50mph . I tried replacing the seal already. Didn’t help. Has anyone solved this?? Thanks!

Very common and an easy, reported, fix.

I bought a slightly wider fuel hose from a parts store. Works well, and has been there for years.

I've also found the trim piece between the driver window and the quarter window to be lose at the top which created a flapping noise when driving perpendicular to very strong winds.

It's just held on by double sided foam tape.

I tried this already, it helped a little but not much, so I replaced the seal with a new one. After the new seal it got slightly better, but again, not by much.

You may actually be onto something. Here's a picture of both driver and passenger side windows all the way up with the door closed

The driver side window (first image) doesn't seem to go as far up into the arch of the doorway as the passenger side window(second image).

How can I adjust how high the window itself goes? I spent sometime trying to find a "window adjustment procedure" the other day but came up with nothing.

The issue ~is not~ that the windows don't fall when opening the doors.

I'm starting to think —looking at the pictures I posted above — that the maximum possible hight the driver window goes is not high enough to make a proper seal.

I thought this procedure could also teach the upper limits of the window.

Is there anything physically impeding the glass from going all the way up?
If you disconnect the battery with the window all the way up, when you open the door, is there resistance? Is it possible to close the door? It shouldn’t be possible without physically forcing the window to fit in the trim. If it is, it’s likely too low.

If it’s not software (and I’d try again disconnecting the battery and re-teaching the limits, after ensuring the top trim is clear so the glass can fit in), then it could be an issue with the window regulator…

Those are all very good insights, we may be getting somewhere. Even when the door is closed, as you may see from the pictures above, the window doesn't fully seat in the trim above it. There's enough of a gap that I could definitely open the door without the window dropping.

Here's what I've gathered from the very scarce information about window adjustment.
The reset procedure can learn the max height up-to the full extension of the window itself.

I've gathered that there is some adjustment in the window regulator itself, but I can't confirm that or find a procedure on adjusting it.

Knowing BMW's, I'm sure this window regulator has been replaced a few times. I bet it wasn't adjusted properly.

Something that helped me was tightening down on the nuts that hold the glass to the regulator inside the door. I used a locking plier style oil filter wrench instead of whatever specialty tool BMW wants you to use. More details at the end of my first post in this thread.

i gotta look into this -- after my car was fixed from an accident I've had an annoying wind noise from driver window. I'm guessing I'll just need to adjust window regulator... thanks all
