ECS waterpump+thermo kit
Thinking about doing a preventative maintenance before waterpump leaves me stranded
Anybody have experience with the level 1 kit they sell for just 600 dollars? it contains waterpump, thermostat, coolant resevoir tank and few hoses. it looks likes its a mixture of oem and genuine bmw parts. let me know what you guys think! |

I'm starting to look to do a overhaul on my car for similar reasons. Though I have the 128i. I was looking into the FCP Euro kit since it comes with a lifetime warranty (just send them back you old pump when you replace it) and its $480 for a similar kit to what you are describing. Why do you want the $600 kit with a race Thermostat? Seems pricey.
I'm just daily driving my car so I was going to just stick with OEM. The FCP euro kit doesn't have the coolant tank, but still. (Edit: I see you have a 135 and from your prior posts you are modding it. I checked FCP again for your car and they only have an aftermarket kit with the VDO (Continental) pump which is $430. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...it-11510392553 Sorry for the mix up I'm new to the forum haha) Last edited by rhop101; 10-20-2017 at 10:33 AM.. |
