"Auto-up" window switch not working

On my driver's side door, I have a window switch that controls the driver and passenger windows. If I use the "auto-up" feature for the driver's window, it all works fine and the window goes all the way up. But if I use the same feature for the passenger side, it doesn't work. I have to hold the button for the window to go all the way up.

Next, I tested the window switch on the passenger's door. The "auto-up" feature works fine on that window switch. One hard press and it goes all the way up.

So, the problem seems to be in the switch on my driver's door. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Nothing led up to the issue... it just happened one day.

Am I going to have to spend $120 on this?

Try resetting the window limits. I know it works on the passenger switch but you never know. Maybe there's a ghost in your wiring and that's a simple free 5 second try. That link might be your only option though. With the door shut push the button down and hold for 5 seconds after the window goes down the whole way and then do the same for up. See if that works. Doubt it hahaha. Its something to try though.

Do you know anyone around you with a 1? If you were near me I'd take mine out and let you try it so you can know If it's the switch that needs replaced or wiring or what not. Sounds like your goi g to have to order one. I've seen a lot of parts on eBay for the e82. Looks like it's a couple of insurance buy backs. Might get lucky and find one cheap. Find the posters and ask them if the have one.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll try asking a friend if we can swap switches first.
