US better get this, I am holding my purchase until supersport model like this comes out or next generation (I prefer 3-5 door hatches)

You're not the only one waiting for something like this. Trust me.

We all are well aware of your desire for a supersport diesel.

Nahh. Any type of "SuperSports" will do. The 1er is well deserving of a more raw version from the factory.

If/when this car is available I will be very confused about what to do with my current car... hopefully the SS parts won't be to hard to add on, but I have a feeling it will get a "facelift"

I know what I'll do IF the SuperSports version has following parameters -

> 300lb lighter @least
> 20% more hp @least
> LSD

I'll trade in my lil' panzer ;-)

Btw, my 2sense regarding the next generation 2 liter twin-turbo engines in dev - I'd still prefer the current/upgraded 3 liter twin-turbo with torque on tap, to a hi-revving smaller engine that needs the pedal to the metal all the time...

If this car is indeed a 4cyl, it will be an expensive add on to your current car...

Hmm, a bit too late for me. I have created my own supersports! Only thing I would be interested in is the carbon roof and other carbon parts. I wonder what sort of structural changes is required with the carbon roof? I hear M3 has additional cross braces etc to increase the torsional rigidity for using the CF roof?

From the looks of your mod list, I think the SS model might just be a step down...

If and that's a ginormous if this were to come to fruition you're talking very close to M3 cash to be sure.

the 135SS for forbes, the 120SS for aes

we both won in the end

..as long as it actually comes over here

although i will probably hold off a few years as pushing the limits with the N54 led to enough hpfp issues etc. add to that higher rpms and presumably higher boost... ill let 'em work the kinks out before i buy one

is the amount of power available in the 135 not excessive for typical road conditions? or if youre taking it to the track, is the pedal not to the metal all the time? you will obviously have a more powerful engine if you add two more cylinders. the idea is that it will be lighter, and hope hope hopefully significantly more fuel efficient, while still offering ample and even more fun performance, rather than balls out muscle car status ie 135. at least thats my idea, theres plenty of people who were brought to the one specifically by balls out mucle car status. i prefer raw, minimalistic, handling prowess with just enough under the hood, especially if it can deliver good fuel economy but then turn into a beast under boost and high rpms. but then again i firmly believe we are moving into a time period of energy conservation and specifically a realization of the ultimate limits of petroleum resources... blah blah... i'll shutup.
