My 1m
Hi everyone, Ive just picked up a 2011 1m, and so far its fantastic.
Drove 700 miles at the weekend and really enjoyed it. Anyway its standard at the moment but im planning a few upgrades. Looking for a carbon front splitter, and im considering a Leightweight Exhaust system and forge intercooler. Intake wise theres not much info out there and being as im in the UK I might end up just changing to a K and N panel filter. Heres a few pictures. Quo |

Welcome and enjoy the 1M.
About your intake remark, there is little to nothing you can have from an intake so I suggest save your money from there and invest it in a charge pipe, especially so since you take a step and upgrade to Forge intercooler. Lightweight exhaust is one of my favorite sounds for this car so congratulations on that choice. If you will end up with their rear exhaust only then better replace the irrelevant stock mid section as well (maybe with a cheap and reliable N55 catless-mid pipe). Having said all these there is nothing better than a good set of tires to benefit in this car imho. Cheers. Oz

Yes ive not seen any results that make me want to change the intake. Ive seen a gruppe M on a 1m and although nice unsure wether it gave any benefits.
The charge pipe is what part exactly? Im going for full Lightweight exhaust including downpipes with no cats. Im running pilot super sports at the moment. They seem fine. Quo |

Thanks for the tip on the charge pipe, seems like going higher boost can cause cracking. Struggling to find somewhere that sells them though, especially as I live in the UK. The forge Recirculation Valves are not a problem though.

Looks great!
I have the same steering wheel as you and am still tossing up whether to do the CF interior bits. I like it a lot now that I see it. Congrats! |

Congrats mate.
I am also sorely tempted to do the CF interior bits - at least on the centre console.... Also considering the steering wheel but am concerned about how well it will wear... |
