Share your exhaust note & setup!

Just want to put together a thread comparing 1 series n54/n55 exhaust setups, specifically in terms of exhaust note and volume.

I have looked at other exhaust comparison threads and can't seem to find one that really helps me decide which exhaust setup sounds best for me. A lot of the information out there is of full systems made by the same company. However, I know that a good # of people have/ or will have setups with mixed & matched parts. I also feel like a lot of people (including me) get lost in the $$$ part of the hunt for their desired exhaust note!

Having said all that, I'm hoping to start a thread that forgets about the money for a second, and concentrates on the tone of the many various exhaust set ups out there. Just thought that if I'm having trouble finding that perfect sound coming out of my tailpipe, someone else probably is too!!
Let's just help each other out here by possibly making this decision making process go faster.

Please share:
1: Your car/engine
2: Setup: (e.g n55 Midpipes, AR catless downpipes, and stock/oem muffler delete)
****Please specify whether it is catted and/or resonated.
3. How would describe the sound?
(E.g. deep, raspy, loud, etc..).
4. Decibel level (if known)- helps a lot considering we can't hear all of these setups in person, and videos don't always prove to be sufficient. doesn't always if known of course)
5. Any other comments!

Thank you in advance for sharing!

1. 2008 135i N54
2. Stock downpipes>N55 mids with a hollowed out resonator(basically straight pipe midpipe)>BMW Performance muffler.
3. Tone is much deeper than stock in the lower RPM range without being too droney imo. Screams and growls above 3500 RPM. Not that raspy due to not removing the main cats. (Was a lot raspier with catless DP/stock mids/performance muffler)
4. Decibels probably in 90s
5. working on trying to capture the sound with a video...

Garage List
Don't know if you're interested in 1Ms as well as 135/128 but no reason you couldn't do this with a 135i...

1: 2012 1M N54
2: Stock 1M High Flow DPs. N55 Mids. BMW Performance Y-Pipe. Remus Race Rear Section.
3. Deep at low revs and pitch goes up with RPMs... and lots of burbles.
4. No idea but it's LOUD.
5. It does have a bit of drone but it's a nice drone and it barks when you hit the gas as low revs.

1. 2009 135i
2. N54 Maddad resonated midpipes, maddad whisper exhaust. Stock DPs
3. Imo deepest note there with nice over-run, screams over 3500 rpms
4. Bit of drone, I don't use bluetooth to talk anymore (I think they will hear it). When you are driving with the windows down you will hear it, very clearly. So do people walking on the side of the road. Pretty mild at cruising.
5. I have the automatic, so when it shifts under acceleration it is really loud when it goes into the next gear but regains its composure quickly.

1: 2011 135i N55
2: Berk catless downpipe, N54 catted mids, Active Autowerke Axle back Gen 1
3. Very deep and exotic at high revs under load
4. Barely audible from inside the car at idle. Drones slightly on highway but nothing that bothers me at all. It's enough to piss off the old lady though.
5. I lined the top of my trunk with Dynamat which helped to cancel out some of the drone. Like I said though it's really not bad unless you are a girl.
