Talking Corn, Catless DP, & JB4 Map 6 = O.O

I've been messing with my car for quite a while now and I think I've found a pretty wonderful mix of settings on Map 6 and fuel to keep the car happy.

Running e40 with the JB4 on latest firmware and FF wires installed. Using "E85 mix calculator" to manage my fueling and make sure I've got the fuel just right.

Map 5 is my standard whenever I'm on 93 octane or if I've refilled with 93 after my e40 tank is running low so the car can adapt to the fuel mix.

Hoping I can get some logs later today and post them up. So far everything is looking pretty clean, AFRs are a little on the edge but that's typical of these N55's. The stock turbo just falls flat after about 5k RPM so there's no point pushing it, hence the tapering below. Timing is super strong throughout.

I'm going to keep messing with it and see if I can get it perfect, but the heat has been limiting the times I can get on it without worrying about IAT's with the stock IC.

Map 6 settings:

Note: I take no responsibility for any attempts to replicate these settings on your car. Don't mess with it if you don't know what you're doing, I barely have a clue myself!

There's still zero research on this with N55's and I'm not about to void my warranty to find out for myself haha. Seems like an interesting adder for the N52's but for N55 I'm better off increasing flow/boost/fuel.

Lol I completely forgot about that fact literally n o o n e has done any research. I think BPC tested a turbo'd N52 and got some gains but that's it. Supposed to work with N51/52, N55 and S55.

Someone needs to take the plunge and test them.

Also that warranty thing is pretty nice too.

My car lost that status a while ago...lol

MILV's on an N55 would be interesting...

Yeah if someone told me it'd be guaranteed 30whp I'd probably give it a shot. But just increasing lift isn't necessarily going to make a big, or good difference on a motor already built for a turbo. An N52 with a turbo slapped on it is a very different setup from an N55.

I also don't like that there's zero change, or an actual LOSS, of power until you get the car tuned, even on an N52. It makes me question the validity and safety of the modification, especially after you add boost into the mix.

Yeah you're deep into it haha. I wouldn't mind not having a warranty but it has been such a blessing honestly.

Unless I come across a crazy good deal it'll never happen on this car. At most I'll do a stage 1 hybrid from Pure, which has the same exact appearance as OEM but with much more top end flow. Between my lifetime warranty and FCP Euro this car is basically just becoming the ultimate DD that I'm not at all afraid to put butt-loads of miles on.

Current plan for this car is to make it super fun to drive on a daily basis while keeping it reliable enough for road trips, and then get a C5/C6 vette as a track animal for the weekends.

What happens if I write 69.420 in all the columns on the right? Would it make the car beat FBO 5.0's and civics?

No that's pushing it, you'll get a "danger to manifold" warning
