How to retrofit a Rain Light Sensor (RLS)?
Hey guys, Has anyone out there retrofitted a RLS to their car?
I can handle the coding aspect of it, but was after some info on actually installing it? How do you bond it to the glass? How is it wired? I know i'll need a new headlight switch, i've already got a new steering switch unit from a car that had a rain sensor (the bit with the wiper/indicator stalks). As far as i know, i don't have a comfort windshield, just the normal one so i hope i don't have to change it. I've seen guides for the e46 but nothing on the e8x or e9x... |

If i may ask - what exactly don't you like about it? Is it a sensitivity issue where wipers take too long/not long enough to activate? - i thought you could program sensitivity too. Anyway im mostly doing it for the light sensor aspect - wanted the auto headlights |

Not that it doesn't work, it does. It's just finicky.
