Nice coverage! Thanks a lot, I've been so busy this month I had completely forgot about testing. Much appreciated! Cannot WAIT!

Perhaps Rossis new seamless shift gearbox helped. Regardless, congrats to the Doctor

Valentino Rossi
1st | 2'00.414 | 54 Laps
"Everybody in our team was curious about the updated gearbox and the first impression is quite positive, so I'm happy. It doesn't make a huge difference, but it'€™s a small help in a difficult point where we need to improve. The bike is a bit better in braking and corner entry and I think we need to work to understand the maximal potential, but the first test was good. I am happy to finish in the first position because I was in P1 from this morning, so it'€™s a good first day. It'€™s important for us to make some kilometers on the wet. I don’t really like the feeling with the bike on the wet and last year I struggled a bit. We already improved a bit today, but we need to do some more testing and make some more kilometers."

Jorge Lorenzo
5th | 2'01.162 | 51 Laps
"Today was a pretty tough day for me. I feel the jet lag and last night I was only able to sleep for just four hours. At the beginning of the session we tried the set-up we used at the first Sepang test but nothing worked. We changed so many things on the bike but the result was the same. I'm a bit disappointed because of the results today but at least the new gearbox works well. We need to adjust it a bit but overall it is quite good, especially on braking where we can get more stability. The track conditions were pretty bad compared to the first test. The asphalt had less grip so we struggled a lot with the conditions. Hopefully we can improve our pace tomorrow and check the new things we need to test again before going to Qatar"€

Qatar testing report from MotoGP;

Repsol Hondas Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa have completed a productive second day at the Qatar pre-season test.

The top time was traded amongst a few riders and despite breaking the circuit lap record with his time of 1'55.091 on lap 27 of 54 (beating Stoners time from 2008 of 1'55.153), Marquez had to settle for the 2nd spot on the timing sheets behind Dovizioso. His teammate Pedrosa finished in 6th place with his time of 1'55.582 (lap 22 of 40).

Marc Marquez: "I'm happy that we improved our fastest lap, but above all I'm pleased with our overall pace, which is the most important thing. We have also gained confidence with the front end - thanks to a change to the geometry - which was something we had been finding difficult at this circuit. Tomorrow we will continue our programme, focusing on the rear in order to see if we can find more grip, but the overall verdict is positive so far and I feel confident."

Dani Pedrosa: "Today we were able to improve our pace, put in some good laps and be more consistent, which is positive. We also worked on the front end of the bike with a new fork, trying to improve the feeling and corner entry. Tomorrow we will work on the rear, to see if we can find a bit more grip. That is an important factor at this track, because you spent a lot of time leaned over and I'm sure that any improvement would be notable."

Interesting finishing order, don't you think? Esp for Repsol and the Yamaha boys. Dovisioso was only on hard tires the whole time

Very excited for this season of MotoGP!

Aprilia is back and Ducati has seemingly figured out how to get their shit together.

Lets do this!

I have a very good feeling about this season! There's more than a few who could potentially give MM93 a run for his money

(Read the full article here: http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2015/0...ast-day/171934 )

With todays action curtailed, Ducati will leave the test the happiest of the manufacturers, after dominating proceedings during the first two days. The Italian manufacturer completed a 1-2 on Saturday and only missed out on achieving the same feat on the second day by 0.013s.

Andrea Dovizioso led the way on the overall timesheets as the only rider to get under the 155 mark, setting a 154.907 and beating Casey Stoners circuit record by over two-hundredths of a second in the process, while his teammate Iannone finished in 3rd 0.197s back. The test also saw the revival of Ducatis winglets as they appeared on Doviziosos bike during Sunday, with the fins designed to enhance the aerodynamics of the bike. Dovizioso stated that he was happy with the GP15s pace, which was even more even more impressive considering he said that they had not used the softer tyre available to them, as part of the concessions made to them as a factory team without a race win since 2013.

Repsol Hondas Marc Marquez was the only rider to threaten the domination of the Ducatis and ended the three-day test in 2nd place, just 0.184s off Dovizioso. Marquez, who was focusing on finding his perfect race setup, was the only rider to get within a half a second of the Ducatis, although he stated that he does not see the GP15 as serious competition come the start of the season, instead focusing on the Yamahas and his own teammate as his main rivals. Dani Pedrosa on the other Repsol Honda finished the test down in 6th, having never really threatened the top of the timesheets as he tried out a different set of front forks on Sunday, and was 0.675s slower than the leading rider.

Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi both admitted their frustrations over the first two days, as they could not get within 0.5s of Doviziosos fastest time on their Movistar Yamaha YZR-M1s. Lorenzo improved over the course of the test, shaving three-tenths off his best time from Saturday, and finishing ahead of his teammate in 4th. Rossi was a further 0.081s back, but managed to improve by over half a second over the two days as he put in his fastest lap late in the evening on Sunday.

Cal Crutchlow was the leading satellite rider throughout the test on his factory spec CWM LCR Honda RC213V. The British rider escaping unharmed from a small crash on Sunday to finish in 7th, just seven-tenths back from Dovizioso, and went on to say he was happy with the progress made by his team, although there was still room for improvement. His teammate Jack Miller continued his adjustment to the premier class on his Open spec RC213V-RS, and he managed to finish within two-seconds of the leader in 22nd place.

Team Suzuki Ecstar had a mixed test in Qatar, with Aleix Espargaro impressing for the returning factory team on the first day when he finished 4th fastest. Unfortunately he was one of only two riders not to improve his time on the second day, and ended up in 10th place overall. Class rookie Maverick Viales also had some issues as he had to end his testing early on day one after two minor crashes meant he had damaged both of his bikes. Unlike Espargaro he did manage to improve his time on Sunday, finishing the three days in 14th place, just over two-tenths behind his teammate.
