That is great news about the front plate. I was never very happy about the holes in my front bumper.

What's with the decals in the rear windows?

Are you guys tied in to sponsorship or something?

I like VO when the wether is dull otherwise it is to bright and copper for me.
The ridehight of the pace car is like it should be.
Thx for the write-up!

Strange that the first 2 customer deliveries have been from Canada ... why is Canada getting special treatment haha?!

Congrats on picking up the car though - bet you were so excited. Cant wait to read more

Just really really want mine now.
I think I am actually in love with the motogp safety car.

I felt the exact same way during my ED last year. I was in with Germany!!

My ED was in May of '08 and the double sided tape was used. Redadair, your car was delivered at the old delivery center correct? I wonder if they switched to the tape when the Welt opened for deliveries?

Oh Man, call me anal or obssessed (though here I recon I'll be forgiven ), but this is my fear with ED. I def do not want my bumper drilled as I am not planning to use a front license plate in the US. Wonder if I can specify this right before pickup?

Hate the bumper hole plugs, also VO will be a tough color match

No worries, I was thinking the same thing when I was planning my trip. I found out they used the tape over at the Bimmerfest forums. They have a Euro Delivery section and wiki that can answer pretty much all ED questions. The only 'catch' from using their wealth of information is that you have to post pictures of your car at delivery within 12 hours of taking delivery. The 12-hour rule as it's known .

I was more worried about my dealer drilling holes in the bumper when they received the car. I had to be very specific with them that I did not want that to happen.

congrats!! I'm also wondering what's with all these canadian deliveries... just heard that there are only 8 cars currently in production for the ENTIRE US... 5 designated to the west; and 3 to the regions east of the mississippi...
