I Love My Ugly Intake:)
I want it to be known I did bash the Riss intake when I saw the release photos I had the AFE intake at the time I was one of the first and Riss made me eat humble pie. I did something I hate when other people do, I opened my mouth about something I knew nothing about and wasted $150 selling my AFE at a loss. I had the AFE intake for about a month maybe a little longer, I noticed that my car ran about 20 degrees hotter with it. I also got limp modes when I got on the car doing over 80 when it was any hotter than 70 degrees outside. I bought the Riss intake and have had it for about 3 weeks I have not had one limp the car is running cooler and I have better throttle response. Also I modified the plenum to point at the intake a few days ago and they will be releasing there plenum in a week or two. I ordered the Riss Racing scoops yesterday. I know it is not the prettiest intake but I think with the new Riss Racing Plenum it will actually be a very good looking intake. I dyno'd my car at 338 whp with the AFE intake I am going to the Dyno tomorrow at ICS and I will see what the Riss will do but I have a pretty good feeling it will be higher. Just my 2 cents and I thought I would share my experience.

Very glad your happy with it! I wish we could have gotten you the scoops, and snorkel before the dyno! However, I look forward too your results. Intakes are a product that is highly effected by weather on a dyno.

^^^yes but unless your increasing the ID od the piping and making the element quite larger the stock intake is more than enough to handle anyones power level on this forum....except of course the guy that claim to have all that HP with nothing to back it up cheers

Very nice dyno, Johnny! Any chance of posting both the AFE and Riss dyno sheets for comparison?
It is important that members post their experience with after market parts like you did, Johnny. You are not the only member that has seen higher oil temps with the AFE twin intake.
