There are a few places I saw in Garching that are close to where you all are staying. They arent bad but for the same price as those places (79ish euro) I can stay at the Sheraton by the airport and add to my frequent stay points account with them.

BTW if you call a place and they tell you they have no rooms, try booking online or using a website like booking.com. I called and was told there are no rooms available but was able to book rooms online right afterward. I think Hotels always have a few rooms set aside for online and travel website bookings. It may be info you already knew but maybe it will help.

I looked at KL II but they are booked up. The sheraton by the airport is 79 euro and I know they will have rooms. Its a little further out but not too big of an issue for me.

What ill probably end up doing is driving down saturday and when I get there around noon just hit up some of the hotels in Garching and find a place that way.

Hopefully find one within walking distance to a U or S station.

For those of you who will join me on our little Alpine tour to Kufstein... this is the address of the Esso that we will tank at. Make sure you have enough gas to drive from the Welt to this Esso. Roughly 78 kms from the Welt.

Also make sure to grab something to eat while we are at the Welt. We won't be eating our dinner until ~19:00. So grab a snack or meal at any of the cafe's inside the Welt or Museum.

Well this is germany and in specific munich. I can't imagine a universe in which there is no subway or bus connectin in munich that leads to some biergarten

Lol, well I know that. Im just saying THAT specific biergarten is kind of outside the main area of Munich, so I wasnt sure if the U went there or if its the S that has to go just close and then either walk or take a taxi.

We were all wishing you could be here Rick. I know your heart is with us here in Munich.

We had a great day here. The gasthaus was really nice. Good food and good German beer. Best of all were our German friends. Tomorrow will be great rain or shine. And our Alpine tour should be awesome!!!
