Anyone get a vacuum/sucking sound around 2500rpm when cold?
I think it's possibly related to the exhaust flapper valve. From what I can tell the car has a crankshaft-driven vacuum pump rather than vacuum being pulled from the intake manifold (due to the way valvetronic works).
If I'm driving slowly with the windows down, or next to a wall, right at 2500 rpm I can hear this rushing air sound. I can modulate it with the throttle pedal. After a few minutes of driving it stops doing it. No check engine light or drivability issues. I have the performance exhaust, so don't have the flap. Just curious as to whether anyone else has noticed this or if I should get it checked out. |
