I would address some of the handling shortcomings the 1 series has.

OP: I suggest doing a tune before adding bolt-ons. Although, a FMIC and CP should be the very next mods following the tune.

+1 on tune.

I didn't get my tax return yet but did get my bonus early

Got berk race axel back, dtec cree v7, bms intake. Then when it warms up I'll do tint, gloss grill and get my 372 wheels powder coated gloss black. Summer going to finish with jb4 and bms dp.

Next year, fmic and save up for track tires and another set of wheels to track with. Then I'll be done with mods.

After the tune and fmic, the rest of the mods are fairly cheap aside wheels and suspension if you go that route. Unless you are hell bent on AR downpipes instead of any other pipe which will do the same job. The best bang for your buck will always be a downpipe and a tune. FMIC is top end only mainly. It does a good job controlling the intake temps which get a little out of hand after downpipes and a tune. If you are dead set on safety, an oil cooler could be a good idea. The cars run hot, but it's debateable as to whether it really matters since these motors are apparently designed to run hot anyways. Intakes are for turbo sound only. Exhaust is mostly sound only as well.

Apex is running a group buy. ~$200 off a set and free shipping I think? Pretty good deal, and if you are looking for performance with low weight and maximum tire they're your best option.

So I'm under warranty till May, so I think I'm gonna go with a tune. Still trying to figure that one out (so much debate). Which brand of DP will not cause throwing a code? I've heard some do. I am N55.

Not to go off topic but to answer your question, all catless dps will throw a code. Except for Wagner since it's catted, which from I've read.... Shouldn't.
