Alright quick update because I haven't been posting much lately as I've been trying to wrangle in life's challenges, both my 1 and 5 have been in the shop (so here's a sweet teaser photo of another build because I just realized I have no pictures to update my 1 series).
The 135i is now atrociously overpowered, here's my current setup: BMS Intake BMS oil cooler valve BMS oil catch can BMS charge pipe BMS hard piping VRSF 5" intercooler VRSF downpipe Berk mids Berk street exhaust (ceramic coated black) xHP DCT tune MHD Stage 2+ I just got it out of the shop and flashed from Stage 1 to Stage 2+.. it was around 0c (33f) and dry, I have it's summers still on and omg.. 6th gear breaking out at 1500rpm and 30% throttle. I have no idea how quick it is because I have zero traction. I think the exhaust sounds good, but I think it's tone is probably a little off, as I have a pre-cat 02 sensor light that came on, so I'm waiting patiently for a new 02 and we'll see.. one thing that's abundantly clear is a fat tires and an LSD is now an immediate must. I have a shop offering me great prices now on parts.. $1000cad tax and shipped for Bilstein B14s.. but I think I might prioritize the LSD first. Thoughts? I hilariously drove the 1 series to dinner at my parents who have a 500' long driveway with a layer of packed snow, the driveway raises maybe 8' in elevation midway (up 8' over a 250' distance).. I couldn't leave, lol.. I tried a few runs at it, tried it in reverse, tried it with my brother pushing.. could get nearly to the top but would lose all momentum just before the crest.. eventually, I asked my brother "what car you got here? the truck?" "yeah".. go get it. Put the front tow hook in and had him drag me up to the road. I was watching his tire rotations and I don't think he slipped even a 1/4 turn while hauling me up.. My 5 series has been going through headlight nightmares, I have adaptive LEDs and they have been leaking water, like a LOT. Unhooked the main LED module and it was pouring out water for a cpl minutes. I'm several replacements in, this seems to be a manufacturing issue. I sent brand new lights off to be rebuilt by someone who rebuilds lights "professionally". Now I'm waiting for the replacement module and we should be done. Since the front clip comes off to remove the headlights I went ahead and replaced my 535dx stock intercooler with an upgraded cooler from Darkside Developments, one of the few high performance diesel shops.. looking forward to seeing the improvement there because I've been running hot with a turbo upgrade+tune, dp with stock cooler. edit: Yes, this Supra has an ENTIRELY Carbon fiber body. |

New pre-cat 02 sensor went in today and the exhaust has a much crisper sound. Very pleased with the result!
