H&R Lowering springs installed! VA -30mm RA -15mm
Just installed
First impressions are good. Not really more uncomfortable then it is stock. First i was afraid that it would become more bumpy but it isn't. Roads in Belgium are a disaster so this was not an option. Bodyroll is on public roads almost not noticable, a closed circuit will be a better place to push the suspension to the limit Looks have IMPROVED significant!!!! Bye bye fist wheelgap at the front Some pictures :

I would not do that because the car would lower 30mm at the front only and will lean to much forward. The balance will be disturbed and understeer will show up. The H&R springs are also stiffer so that would complety disturb the car. In this picture you'll see what i mean :

I have no plans to do any serious tracking like Dan. The back stance is perfect, wouldn't mind if the front was 3/4-1.0" lower for appearance. Seems like such a modest drop would have little affect on the OE dampners or performance. My M3 did not have EDC, so I went with the Dinan Stage I setup and it seems to put it at a similar feel to the 'sport' setting on the EDC. It also increased travel rather than reducing it like most springs do. Maybe I'll wait and see what Steve comes up with for this car or if it can be used straight across between models.

It doens't feel so. It feels more planted on high speed. My former E36 M3 3.2 was also lowered with just springs from Eibach on dampers from Bilstein (B8). This wasn't a kit also but they worked fine together.
I'll fly over to the Dragons tail to show you

Why are people so eager to change out the high quality M parts that we get stock for aftermarket parts?!? BMW's M engineers know what they are doing and I am sure they had it like this for a reason!! Obviously for performance purposes, and something like that, I would not mess with, but to each their own.

Did the alignment work out to get it back to factory specs (or close)? I'm changing my suspension out for Motons in 2 weeks and wonder if I'll need adjustable bits.

The alignment worked out to be quite simple and fits in the factory specs perfecly. Their is a big tolerance in most values to align the car the way you want to drive it. I choose for a more track oriented aproach with enough negative wheelflight for example.
