...................so am I right in saying that you believe my opinion is BS.

Oh you added the dyno manipulation line after the fact.

Why the conspiracy theories? I don't get it??

I'm not the only one. Figures seem tampered with.

emack as long as your happy that's all that matters. I'm not a hater, just a realist. My car is a FBO with meth and only pulled 16 more kw than your 1M and that's at just over 17psi. I just thing dyno's read inconsistant as would seem in either my case or yours.

You obviously don't know Peter very well. I've been a customer of his for 7+ years and he's never done any of the "tricks" that people do when running up a car on the dyno.

The figure is just an end result, not the be all and end all. He isn't interested in cars that are dyno queens that make a number but don't go on the road/track.

As a footnote, my 911 picked up 40kw at the wheels through the midrange when I fitted up a set of 997 GT2 RS intercoolers.

Exhaust after the downpipes only adds a little bit (10rwkw) or so.

Main gain is with catless downpipes (around 15rwkw)

Unless the 1M tuning can adapt and increase boost (doubtful) this makes no sense.

249kw would point to around 14psi.

Has anyone else in the world had this sort of increase?

And does Akra advertise any power increase with this exhaust?

This is certainly not consistent with N54 tuning.

I am sure no tampering has been done but there is an error on the second dyno for sure. No way a downpipe back exhaust can add that much power - no N54 has even gained that much. Akro dont claim that much either.

If you were running 14psi somehow I'd believe it though - what does a 1M peak at?

Benny Benny Benny, I've only meet Peter once and I can judge that he is true gentlemen. Extremely knowledgeable and fair in his practice. This isn't a go at him it's just a general dyno assault.

I think they peak around 12ish with the M button on but could be wrong.

How can there be an "error" on the second dyno run? It is what it is, if they aren't changing the ramp rate, tyre pressure, how the car is straped down on the dyno or running a tune/fuel I don't understand? I'm not aware of an error on a dyno run, what do you mean?

Yeah fair call, he's a straight shooter where you can get a lot of cowboys. Knowing Peter the ramp rate and parameters would have been the same (for controlable inputs). Obviously can't judge the air temp, density etc although the weather we have had the last week it'd probably be pretty consistant. I dare say they did the run on the same day, its also likley there is more than one run post exhaust although IAT's might be higher on subseqent runs.

I'm not having a go at him at all, just trying to figure out how such a result could happen.

If we go by dyno results alone, that means he basically has as much power as I do. Therefore, his 1M is a low 12second car just with an exhaust! And thus it's nearly safe to say he has the quickest 1M in the world at the moment, just with an exhaust,,,

I do all the work on my car on my own cause I don't really trust any other supposedly professionals but would definitely let Peter loose on my car without a doubt and with complete confidence.

Regarding this weather, OMG it's driving me crazy. I may as well drive my Townace with the roads always so wet.
Doesn't look like we'll be hitting WSID anytime soon.

.

No idea -

When we compare Manual N54 results it does not make sense. Zuzu did 255rwkw with catless midpipes and a Jb3. I did 265rwkw with downpipes and a JB4.

249rwkw is a lot for a tune with less boost than JB4 map 1 and a downpipe back exhaust.

May be a freak of a motor i spose...
