New Member hello

On March 13th, I bought a machine that gives me joy I didn't know possible, the 128i coupe. Thanks to Admin for this forum and kudos to the users that contribute to it!

I'm excited. I actually had a 335i sedan lined up. The twin-turbo and other bells and whistles scared me away.

I've also owned an 80's 528e and the legendary 90's 3-series sedan.

Is that when we make necessary updates, upgrades? I'm already concerned with iDrive updates and trying to figure out bluetooth or other music options. Someone saved some horrible rap music on the hard drive that I'm dying to get out of there.

Typically you’ll hear your routine maintenances: checking for oil leaks, the 3 main gaskets in particular, all fluids like transmission and diff since they are often overlooked, coils and plugs, water pump, engine mounts, control arms is a basic but comprehensive start.

On top of that getting some solid tires, ps4s or dws06 are the go to summer and all season respectively.

Some great upgrades include sport seats, m sport sway bars/suspension though I think yours should be on the sport suspension already, 3 stage intake manifold for n52 (n51 already has it)

It will depend on mileage and age too: Belts (maybe a crankshaft seal guard while you're in there), Mickey Mouse coolant flange, cooling system hoses.

Learning to wrench on your own car is a fun hobby too... there's always something you can replace, repair, freshen up, whatever.

Right, I bought the car with the passenger fog light out. I have the bulb but I can't for the life of me figure out how to replace it. Do I really need to remove the whole bumper? My hand can fit down into the engine bay where I can see the fog light housing.
