Bumpy Feeling!!!

Lately I've been noticing that my car feels bumpy when I am driving. It kinda feels like there is a nail in my tire, but there isnt. I have checked numerous times, maybe I'm missing it. I have not done anything stupid with the car so a flat spot is out of the question. Let me know what you guys think please. I hope I'm not going crazy!!!! :iono::iono::iono:

Through the suspension, the car transmits much road surface irregularity information, perhaps your are experiencing just that?:iono:

Through the runflats too. I'll be ditching those as soon as my car is in for just that reason.

Can you be more specific? Are you talking about the front or rear? Left or right side? On any road surface? Any speed? A few more details might help narrow it down... maybe.

Just like a Porsche 911. No run-flats... no spare.

Yep...besides, changing a tire on the side of the road is dangerous...there was a person killed doing that on the freeway I regularly take...

Well - I guess I should have thought of that. Calling AAA is a good thing... Happy Motoring !!

The feeling happens when I am cruising at about 50 or 60 in fifth gear. This also occurs on any surface, not just one specific road.

I think the last time I actually used a spare on any car was 1994. And I could have easily used AAA then too.

I'll takes me chances ...

One of your tires may be slightly "out-of-round"... if so, this is a defect, and it would be covered by the warranty.

Just put a can of fix-a-flat in the trunk. That way if you get something small like nail hole you can fill it up real quick and take it to the nearest tire shop to get plugged. No need to wait around for AAA and get towed.

This is what my wife's Miata came with when she decided against getting the runflat tires as an option.

Turn all the music off and have a person or two help you listen while driving. Also depending on how much the tire might be "out of round" having someone drive next to you at speed to see if they can notice it.

Is the car brand new? Make sure the dealer remembered to take the blocks out of the springs. I've heard of that happening before.

if the dealer forgot to take the blocks out, wouldnt this make the ride really rough? The bumpy feeling I am getting is very small.

The ride isn't supposed to be that great in the 135 anyway right? I figured an M sport suspension would resonate lots of bumps, especially with run-flats.
