removing JB4 chip
I've just purchased a 2008 135i with a Burger JB4 chip installed. I need to remove the chip to get it smogged. I've watched a handful of videos showing how to install the chip. Is there any trick to temporarily removing the chip? I'm assuming I just unplug the chip's wiring harness, replug the stock harnesses, replace the #2 power wire in the green connector and call it good.
Am I missing anything? When I reinstall the chip, anything special I need to do? Thanks! |

From what I remember, you can put the JB4 into map 0, and it'll be fine for smog with that (after a driving cycle to prep all the readiness stuff I think). I have and N55 though, someone can probably chime in for N54.
