2nd oil cooler adapter

anyone using one of these adapters to run a 2nd oil cooler?

I'm a little concerned about how they seal, I used the stock grey o rings on the adapter, and the black o rings the kit came with for the stock lines that go into the top of it

my stock lines from the oil filter housing bottom out in the black square adapter before the o ring does anything, i.e. the o ring is loose. Do these press seal or am I doing something wrong?

the bottom half seems to seal to the stock oil cooler line perfectly, with the original grey o rings.
