I am pretty sure that was Ralph's design, with Rob helping out. It's great to have some additional talent in the course design pool! That's really an art.

andy really kicked it up a notch on saturday...he might have been 2nd in C but IIRC he had the fastest lap time. i guess the m3 sway bar works! in other news, the 3-way tie for 3rd place in B was broken, with baker coming out on top! maybe ming needs to spend less time going sideways and more time going forwards

Nice driving everyone.
I will see about getting the infamously unintelligible plots for our results posted in the next day or so. I will have to not be lazy next time and actually put on my auto-x tires. Note to everyone: General Exclaim UHP tires are not great autocross tires... great for everyday use though. I think the 225 UHPs cost me about 2-3 seconds compared to the 235 Goodyear GS-D3s that I normally run. Oh well, lesson learned. I look forward to next year.

Seems it ran well without me! 97 Drivers and done by 3:30 (was a good decision to have it end a bit earlier and 7 runs each, with Halloween trick or treaters on the roads). Many thanks to those of you who helped get things tucked away!

Unintelligible Plot!!
Here are the results. Andy laid down a monster time, but that had nothing to do with the wet morning .
Mike and Brian both should receive the attendance award to making every one, though it seemed like Brian was only half-there a couple of events...

That's ok... I was curious how they would do, and having all of you guys to gauge against gave me a real indication of what tires are worth. They did screech like a bat out of hell once it dried up... It didn't help that I was sideways and half out of control during half of the run with Andy. Good times regardless!

Great job, as usual on the graph. Cool to see that lone Andy dot on there too. I'm sure next season there will be many dots in that negative space. Great improvements! |

Change for a Nickle?

I couldn't tell anything about the new setup on my car in the wet, spinning twice with Andy (I still think it's his fault). However, once thing dried out, it was like driving a different car. The plow that I have been fighting is essentially gone. All three afternoon runs were 74 second runs (the first one was with 2 cones, next two were clean). So the time was consistent but each run was very different, clearly messing up different features on each of the first two runs. The third run was relatively smooth throughout, but there was a ton of time left on the course. The bottom line is that the change in setup is very good but I need to learn how to drive the car with the new setup.

Here's some expansion of Rob's data analysis. The chart showing simply the % difference from the average winner times should be the same as Robs. I've added charts to look at % difference between the fastest AM and PM laps to the average winner times and AM and PM session average to the average winner times.
I've also included Christo, because I thought the impact of his changing cars was interesting, and Audra, since she is obviously thinking about buying a 1er . If anybody thinks I've posted too much personal info with the names on the charts, PM me so I can make a change. Also, I don't have the data from Event 1. Larry, if you send it to me, I'll add it.
