Question Cquartz questions

Hi all, I'm getting frustrated with the gunk in the air around here (DC). Every time I wash my car, it ends up looking dusty by the next day.

A friend recommended Cquartz which looks to be a truly solid product and I am considering giving it a shot.

Has anyone used this on a 24/7 outdoor-stored car in a city environment? Any other opinions? At $60 a kit it really doesn't seem bad at all and I am completely willing to spend that if it keeps my car looking nice and keeps the paint protected.

Product I am referring to.

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

Ceramic paint coatings are the latest and greatest paint protection technology. These coatings offer years of durable protection from the environment and require less general upkeep compared to traditional waxes and sealants in that they do not have to be reapplied every few weeks or months to maintain protection.

With that being said, airborne particles from city living, pollen, dust, etc. are always going to be an issue. I have personally done testing with my own vehicles in which part of the vehicle was waxed and another part was coated with a ceramic coating, and the coated areas DO attract less dust than a traditional wax, but there is no way to completely avoid the dust. Over a period of a few days, there will still likely be enough build up on the vehicle that you can write your own name in it (not advisable )

If you're new to these types of products, you must also understand that the application process for these coatings is quite complicated and the vehicle must first be thoroughly washed, decontaminated, machine polished, wiped with solvent, and then coated.

Let me know if you have any questions!
