Leather Tear Repair
How would you go about repairing a tear in one of the leather seats? It must have just happened since I don't recall seeing this when I worked on the car a bit a week or two ago, so it's very fresh and not torn wide open yet. I want to try and do something now to repair it and keep it from getting worse.
Are there any DIY kits that work well, or is this something a professional would be able to do without reupholstering the entire seat? |

I have the same issue with my leatherette.
About a 2" tear on the left of the drivers side seat cushion.

Was pretty surprised; the dealer is covering this under warranty. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask, but I half expected them to counter with it's wear and tear on a CPO car.
It looks like you can buy new upholsery for a few hundred bucks, so that's an option. The quote I got for the repair from one guy before I knew it was going to be warrantied was like 400$ which wasn't worth it since I could get a new one for cheaper than that. |
