Folks - I double checked the bimmerfest ED pages and peole do run their ED cars on the 'ring when it's open to the public. It is considered 'just' a toll road. Check this thread out:

You know (and I really hate to bring this up - what with the fact that it's thread hijacking and all - and lord knows we don't do that on this site ; -) but everytime I see the headlamps on the 5 series I'm reminded of this:

they said that speed limiter about the M5 touring but on Top Gear Simon was driving it at the Manchester Airport and he said the speed limiter is going to kick in at 155mph but he managed to get the car to go to 185mph or 200mph but the runway was going to run out so he had to slow down so i think this is just a rumour in the air from "perspective buyers"
