Week 39 Production
Was just notified by my CA that I just moved into status 150, but the website or 1-800 doesn't reflect this yet. I'm a week #39 build, so a little over a week early.
I've been back and forth on options and was actually thinking of replacing HK with Conv, but BMW has made my mind up for me. The BMW gods have spoken....no more changes! I hope I don't have any regrets on options, but this is my first bimmer and part time DD. I still find option 7KB interesting. Last edited by mikewills; 09-16-2011 at 01:22 PM.. |

Don't have time to check right now, but Germany is probably like the rest of Europe and on the ISO8601(??) week numbering system. I know the US calculates week numbers differently, but I haven't checked to see if we are in sync this year or not. I can do it when I get back into the office shortly.

I have a week 38 production and the website just updated this morning with 150 status. The 1800 still says no specific production date, go figure. I wonder if mine is really just now entering production or if the website was delayed as well...

Mike, thanks for your message buddy
I've checked online (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_week_date) and Week 38 is definitely next week (19th September) and obviously Week 39 commences on 26th September. I contacted my dealer on Thursday and my car was still being shown as "Scheduled for Production" so I guess the UK cars are not being moved forward Hopefully it'll go into production next week as planned though. Fingers crossed! |

Do you think there is a reason for the US builds to bumped up or delayed in order to form a larger group for the trip across the pond? Maybe this is why some US builds are going into production before their scheduled production weeks while others outside the US seem to follow their respective build weeks. I haven't heard how the international orders are comparing as far as how accurate their scheduled build weeks are to their actual. Just a guess...

Haha, I hope your kidding. Someone might believe you though. The B in the VIN indicates 2011.

The website updated to reflect status 150 this afternoon, however, the 1-800 message remains at status 112.
Still not sure what 7KB, but this screenshot depicts the accurate configuration. Last edited by mikewills; 09-17-2011 at 09:23 PM.. |

I think the 7KB thing is some odd error in the system. Funny, cause my CA kept telling me that it comes with Nav because of the 7KB. I keep telling her it's a system error and Nav only comes with the conv package.

My car just went to 150 status according to the website! The telephone hotline still has it at 112. I'm a week 39 build.
I know it's been hashed out before, although the particular threads are eluding me at the moment: is the general consensus that vehicle option discrepancies on the website are acceptable and even the norm? My build sheet has 7H8 (Assist/BT/USB) included but listed as N/C -- this option isn't listed on the website as one of my selected options. It's probably worth giving my CA a call ... as if I haven't bothered him enough already. |
