Fitment question

I was thinking of widening my tires... I have 245/275 f/r 71-Rs. I was thinking of widening to 265/285 or 95 if they would fit. I am lowered about 1.4-1.6inches-ish. running around -1.5 camber in front. do you guys think these tires will fit?

Seems that many run 255/275 (19") without any issues.

I do a 275/35/18 for the track up front with minimal rub on the front. This is with -2.5 camber, however.

Thats good to know. I suppose to be safe I could do a 255/285 RE-71R.
Has anyone, lowered, done this set up on OE wheels? Just curious about the look and how that changed the driving characteristics

I tried putting RE71R 285/35/19 on the rear and they rubbed badly. Rear is only lowered about 5mm, was running -1.8 camber at the time. More camber may have helped, but I was able to exchange them. (My local firestone store is an autocross club sponsor and provides us awesome service!)

well... that kills my fantasy... haha...

so is the only real way to go super wide in the rear (295s) is to go with a wheel in a different offset?

Or possibly a 30 profile on the stock wheel.

Has one tried putting the new 'competition wheels' on the 1M? a slightly lowered 1M? I think that would look great... but i think those are 20s.
