In terms of comfortability its a dream lol. It is the cruisey-est car i've driven in a while. When you push the sport button it screams at the high revs but is by no means a bullet and the body roll is horrendous. I hate taking it anywhere because parking is a nightmare but I only drive 2 mins to work.

Talking about 7 series. I rode in one last week and it was an absolute dream! It was a 740i which I believe is the same engine as our little 135i. I didn't have time to drive it but will do so shortly.

Btw, is this week WEEK 41 from BMW's perspective? My car is WEEK 41 build. I wonder if it has already been built. I have chassis number as well now cos my guy sent me the screen dump.

I am still too young to own a 7 series I think, but I am getting there! I will buy one when I am 40 maybe. But then again I used to say 911's are older person's car but I had one at a relatively young age so you never know...

no it still says the 7th but my dealer said ...

*quote from dealer email* "checking the website today the car is listed as ‘Gate In’ 12/11 which means it will be in to Prix Car at the dock here in Melbourne. 14 working days from there is our time frame to have the car in our possession for its pre delivery and prep for delivery to you."

so it must sit at the dock for a couple of days?? i'm not sure??

Hmm. Got a letter today telling me car was docking on the 6th (Delayed now obviously) and that I'd get it a week later. Maybe the difference is a result of mornington being your dealer?

The 7 series is very nice, i had a big engine mother in and its a delight, Hey Way, when your 40 the new 7 will be an old heap by then, BMW will have another 7 out by then, whats that 15 years away, lol, how will you afford that when your retired now.

I'm eager on the X5M I'm not sure if i'll drive yours or the other one first but i cannot wait.

Exactly Andrew. The way I am gonna be able to afford the new 7 is to buy one when I am 40 when they cost like $20k!

As for the X5M, you will get to drive mine first I suspect as our build dates are almost 2 months apart. He should have made up his mind when I did as BMW is only supplying 1 (and sometimes 2 cars) a month to the dealer! I myself missed out on an earlier build by 1 day cos 2 partners from a business when in and bought the first 2 allocation.

Btw, BMW Australia will get a X6M in next month for drives. I can't wait to test it out as it is identical to the X5M except for the body.

Woohoo we are friends!

As for a day job, refer to Andrew's post above. (I wish it was true though - I just decided to be long term unemployed for now lol)

Otello has popped back up on marinetraffic!!! It is tracking to East London... so should be there on time! Wooohooo! Looks like the next long leg is coming up... I'm guess that will be the tell tale sign of whether or not the arrival will happen on time!
