[Let's buy together] 3" Catless Downpipes

I gathered from other threads that Aussies are interested in getting some DPs. We should buy them together and see if the vendor will be sympathetic in terms of price This would probably be a good idea if we can get enough of us.

The AR kit comes with all flanges and bungs so there shouldn't be a need to order them separately. Post your interest here and I'll go notify one of the vendors.

I started one of these Group Buys for Meth about 3-4 weeks ago and it got taken down and I got a warning.

I would definitely recommend the AR's althougth I have AA's.
Jeef have you send AR an email to see if there downpipes fit RHD. As you know most downpipes have the 02 bung issue?

How come you got a warning, I don't see how buying together and saving some dosh is against the rules of this forum!

Haven't yet contacted them, just spent half the day procrastinating and doing research. Thanks for the heads up, should probably make sure they fit RHD first aye

BBK, good to hear

It has to be a BIMMERPOST approved vendor, that you are advertising the "Group Buy" from.. I think..

Andrew, am I correct?

Fixed Hopefully that doesn't attract the wrath of the mods. I'm not 'organising' any group buy per se, just looking for Aussies willing to join me for a possible bargain.

if i were you i would try and play AA and AR off each other.. So say we get 10 people wanting to buy, ask both.. if AA gives you the better price take that to AR and get the best

I dont think AR will ever match the AA price because they are really in a league of their own in terms of fitment and quality so they dont feel the need.

I was catching up with another member who has a set of the AR DP's. They look great, I'd definitely be interested in some if the price was good.

Anyone know of a local business that could do a ceramic coating on these?

They can be ordered with ceramic coating for an extra 100 bucks I believe.

I agree Matt. The welds on the AR downpipes are exceptionally good and the quality and finish is worth the money.

You're right Kenny. Just a heads up to everyone, no matter which downpipe you go with it's going to be a tight fit with the increased diameter.
