That's a huge campus out there. I support the AT&T group that is located in Durham (off of Creekstone Dr.) and I've visited the IBM campus in Durham. Impressive! There's a lot of talent in RTP...I miss living there sometimes (family is from Raleigh/Clayton area).

That's what I do. Principal Network Security Architect for AT&T. Many certifications (Cisco/Juniper)....but I hate talking about it, like I said. I can't tell you how many young bucks come in with a few certs, acting like they know everything or feel like they need to compete. Many of them don't last, or realize that they have a lot to learn. You've probably experienced the same (happens a lot in our field). I (along with my team) design the security infrastructure that many of our government agencies use (through TIC, cloud-based infrastructures). It takes a lot to impresse me....so, I'd rather talk about cars, motorcycles, or making music (since I have quite the music recording setup at the house)!

I favored mine for years afterward having it worked on. It changed me from a 1 leg jumper into a two. Made me really shy of making contact. Finally i had to quit playing basketball and water skiing. That is how i ended up in autocross.

I feel your pain, all these engineers and IT guys having a nice chat and a poor little diplomat (me) and yourself feel a bit lonely here Just kidding. You can never know that, there is all kinds of professions here. By the way, I heard that is exactly the type of profession you need to be in if you want to make some good living anywhere in Scandinavia.
