audio upgrade
Ppl with upgrades what are you running? i dont have the hifi system and i find the bass to be RLY weak (probably cause i had two 12's in my last car). I need to do something while conserving trunk space. Will I rly get a noticeable difference with the earthquake upgrade?

have you checked out the custom enclosures from TPLSM3...sweet enclosures to keep your trunk space.
My audio upgrades: JL audio 10W3v 4 ohm c custom enclosure by Ben (TPLSM3) Diamond audio hex s400s (not purchased yet, still looking but these look like the best 4" compnents) - had to order BMW door mounts which are on backorder for the tweets Audiocontrol LC6i with sub remote PPI PCX280 x 2 amps Should be pretty sweet when all said and done, and WAY better than the hifi upgrade by BMW. Prob cost around the same, if not a little bit more with install. I just have the standard 6 speaker system

If you add an amp it will be that much sweeter/better. If you add an amp to the comps, then even sweeter still. It comes down to how much you want and how much you want to spend. I was going to do the Earthquake and full amp upgrade. Once i got the EQ's in, the overall sound was acceptable and decent, so I haven't bothered to install the amp/s. It doesn't go as loud as I want sometimes, but it's pretty loud still. I usually want more power when the windows are down, obviously. But, it's colder now so the windows are up more often. |
